Une femme incroyable

"Amor mi mosse, che mi fa parlare"
Divina comedia. Inferno: Canto II

Left wing advancing in Latinamerica

I've just read socialist candidate Michelle Bachelet have won the first round of elections for presidency of Chile. She's got 45% of the total votes in yesterday's elections, defeating right-wing parties. However, there will be a second round, and it will be very hard, since left-wing ratio is quite similar. Although the government has said it will not be that tight.

If she wins, it will be a tremendous achievement for our region. Not only because she will continue Ricardo Lagos policy, but also because the 54-year-old, tortured during Pinochet dictatorship, former political prisoner, physician woman will become the first woman at
the head of latin america´s fastest growing economy, which traditionally has been reserved for "alpha" males (as in the wolves ^____^). And also because sheMichelle Bachelet with supporters
is divorced, thus challenging the scheme of a traditional family, widely supported by the most conservative sectors (We must remember the extreme right wing ruled the country during many years, under Pinochet dictatorship).

And if Evo Morales win in Bolivia, the number of left-wing parties in the government will really increase, joining to leaders as Luis Inacio Da Silva in Brasil and José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero in Spain.

In Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador has a big chance to win the July elections (currently the National Action Party, a right-wing party, rules the government).

Embrutecimiento gratuito

I took the Dante's Inferno Test, and it banished me to the Seventh Level of Hell

We are the champions"

We are the champions는 My story 앨범에 있어요...

"100 años de la inmigración coreana a México" 때문에 이번 영화는 전신해요.

Vanitas vanitatum et omnia vanitas (update)

I felt a little guilty for having posted a beautiful girl but with little talent, so I decided to change her. The girl I'm talking about is JuHyeon. In her place, I put another singer, but this time she's both talented and beautiful: Susanna Hoffs. She was the vocalist of "The Bangles", a group I like very much. If you have listened to Bangles music, then you should agree with me: Susanna sings like angels. All The Bangles (Vicky Peterson, Debbie Peterson, Michael Steele and Susanna} are great, but I chose Sussana since I really love both her face and her voice, specially when she sings "Eternal Flame", my favorite.

Well, that was all.

Vanitas vanitatum et omnia vanitas*

"Homo sum et nihil humanum a me alienum puto"

These days physical beauty is everything. Media have created a body-beauty religion, we can see on TV and magazines spectacular men and women with perfect bodies. These days of fast food and credit cards we have created also fast idols. We have singers who don't sing, actors/actresses who don't act, journalists who don't journal, but being beautiful gives they some kind of "license" to do whatever they want. I (barely) remember NStynk, Backstreet guys, Ricky Marvin, Bitchney Spears and many others. What do they have in common? all of them belong to the selected community of the most beautiful and dumbest persons. But, since I strongly believe beauty and intelligence are not mutually excluding, I've made a world's top 15 most beautiful and talented girls list. Well, some (very few) girls in the list are not talented, but quite beautiful, and after all... I'm just a human!!.

Why 15 girls? The reason is 20 are too much, and 10 are not enough. In some cases I've included the work I remember they from, and in other cases just their activity. But, let's finish preambles and let's go to the list.

P.S. There are many Korean girls, but this has little to do with my strange fascination with almond-shaped eyes.

The unbearable lightness of being

"Some fools rave of happiness
Blissfulness
Togetherness
Some fools fool themselves
I guess"

Almost half a year has passed and I'm still missing her. Yes, yes, I know... I'm grumbling... but I just don't know what could I do, I don't know if forgetting should take that long... Everybody says I'll forget her sooner or later, that I'm not the only one with a broken heart, bla bla bla... The truth is these days I don't miss her as much as I used to, but it's still a lot... but, could you blame me for this? after all, I spent 4 years of my life with her... or perhaps I'm sick and all I need is just a psychologist and a straitjacket.

Whatever. But that is not my only problem, now it seems I cannot fall in love... I have to compare every girl I see with... well, with her... and I don't like any, because this is too blonde, or because she's not enough, because that it's too smart or maybe because she is not... Should this happen? I've never been too "normal", but this sounds too odd, even for me...

Anyway, it will pass... or I hope so

The end

"Yes I will, I'll get you in the end"

Yesterday ended one of the greatests canadian series: CBC's Street Legal. It was such a big hit when first aired there in mid 1980's. Here in México it was aired by 2:30am, I don't know why, since it could have been a great hit here too... anyway, I fell in love with all those characters, from Leon Robinovitch to Kim. I don't know if they are planning to air it once again... I really hope so!! My life is senseless without that series!!!

The plot is quite interesting (unlike mexican soap operas) and very good written. Besides, chacters become an essential part of the series, even support characters, like David Elliot or Mercedes, and even Eva Paredes. And talking about Eva, many reviews say she was mexican, though I'm not sure, I always thought she was from somewhere in Central America...

So, I'll be depressed these days. I want the series to be aired again soon...

P.S. Many people say I use ellipses too much... do I?... I don't think so... well, maybe a little...

Many, many months after...

After more than 6 months, my computer is working again... and I didn't have to spend any money. I still don't know what was wrong, but apparently it was not the motherboard. But as a consequence of all those months of inactivity, the CMOS battery got discharged, so I'll have to replace it, which will cost me less than 300 won. -_-!

During this time I've been learning about hardware, I'm not an expert (yet), but I know a lot more than a few months ago. Now I know the guy at the repairing shop was lying me, he just wanted me to spend a lot of money, even though it was totally unnecessary. But those days are over, since I know enough as to repair my computer myself...

By the way, these days I discovered a totally new web browser: Firefox. I've been using it, and it's great!! It has a lot of options more than the old and monotonous Internet Explorer. I really love it! One dissadvantage, however, is that I cannot make the <embed> code to work, since Firefox doesn't support ActiveX (God bless Firefox!!!).. Well, I guess it's just a minor disadvantage, besides, I'll think about a way to make another code for Firefox users.

Get Firefox now

Firefox... the future

You can personalize your browser, all you have to do is download some skins (here are called themes), and voilà!!

And you can download many extensions to give multiple features to your browser... can you imagine you can control your media players (Realplayer, Winamp, Windows Media player, etc) from your web browser???? U can hear music while you're surfing the web!!

And this are just a few of the thousands features... In a single word, I love Firefox!!! (well, in three words)
