Last week two mexicans, Pedro Contreras and Juan López Rangel, who were soldiers belonging to the US occupation troops died...
From the beginning, the mexican gov. was against the invasion to Iraq, and so was the people (as in the enormous majority of the countries). We, and I mean all the world, know that the invasion was based only on economic interests. Time has passed and the weapons of mass destruction don't appear... The iraqui people is in the same conditions as before, or even worse... They have to be afraid of their "liberators" as well as of the islamic fundamentalist...
And I can still remember Afganisthan, the first of the countries of the "Axis of evil" invaded... The justification for that was they wanted to capture Osama Bin Laden. But nothing, Osama vanished in the air, but the US said later that the most important thing was the liberation of the afghan people.
We all know that Bush was interested only in the oil of Iraq, and in the strategic position in Afghanistan.
In Mexico we have many reasons to hate US: We lost half of our territory in an unfair war, the murderers of mexican immigrants, the unfair trade, the racism of (some) americans, the stupid Hollywood movies, Microsoft®, etc.
So I have to wonder why the hell those mexicans were the US Army? And the most important thing, why are they treated as heroes??
They are fucking betrayers to our country, to our policy of no intervention, to our constitution, to our history!!! Why should I or any mexican feel sorrow for their death?? Why, if they were just pawns of the US imperialism?? Maybe they didn't killed any one, but they are accomplices of the murders of all those persons.
That doesn't mean I like their deaths, because as I wrote somewere, the lives of all humans have the same value, but I can't feel any pain either, because they were not mexicans.
This war, as any other war, is stupid. The people who started it didn't fight, didn't suffer... it's easy to support the war, if you don't have to fight it!!
Dulce bellum inexpertis! (The war is sweet for those who haven't experienced it).
